Wabi Sabi Presents Trip the Light Fantastic at Atlanta Botanical Garden

Atlanta Ballet’s Wabi Sabi returns to the Atlanta Botanical Garden for another evening of premieres by Atlanta Ballet’s Heath Gill, Sarah Hillmer, and Tara Lee and Backside of the Tent Production’s Meaghan Muller, all performed in the grandeur of the city’s urban oasis. With Trip the Light Fantastic, you will witness the magic of Atlanta Ballet’s dancers amongst the luminous works of art in the Garden’s new installation, Bruce Monroe: Light in the Garden. Come celebrate the International Year of Light and the 5-year partnership of Atlanta Botanical Garden and Atlanta Ballet! Wabi Presents WHIM at Sautee Nacoochee

Atlanta Ballet's Wabi Sabi returns to Sautee Nacooche in northwest Georgia for a week-long choreographers residency and master classes with Wabi Sabi ballet master John Welker. The program will culminate with WHIM, a performance featuring new works by first-time Wabi Sabi choreographer Robyn Mineko Williams along with premieres by Atlanta Ballet‘s Tara Lee, Heath Gill, and Sarah Hillmer. Atlanta Ballet’s Wabi Sabi will venture south of the city for its first engagement at Serenbe, the progressive community connected to nature on the edge of Atlanta. In WHIM, the troupe will perform new works by first-time Wabi Sabi choreographer Robyn Mineko Williams along with premieres by Atlanta Ballet‘s Tara Lee, Heath Gill, and Sarah Hillmer. In-Studio Preview

Take a peek behind the curtain, and step into the dancers’ workroom. Watch as they work out partnering, learn new choreography, or run through an entire piece. The program is variable and depends on what the dancers need. Open to donors at the $1000 level and above; invitation to follow.
