Atlanta Ballet’s Hamlet Set to Music by Philip Glass who is in residency at Emory September 25-27

Stephen Mills' Hamlet will be performed live by Atlanta Ballet and the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra to music by Philip Glass in April, but he's in Atlanta now for a residency at Emory and concert the week of September 25-27. Mr. Glass will open the 2013-2014 Candler Concert Season with a piano performance on Friday, September 27. The show is sold out, but Emory will also premiere his "Cello Concerto No. 2" on October 26 with cellist Matt Haimovitz and the Emory University Symphony Orchestra. At a yet to be determined date, the Thamyris ensemble will perform Mr. Glass' "Hydrogen Jukebox," which includes the poetry of Allen Ginsberg. Click here for details from Creative Loafing Atlanta.
