Atlanta Ballet and presenting sponsor Belk, Inc. are rolling out the carpet to celebrate this 50th milestone. Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker Tea at The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead will be held Saturday, December 19th at 2:30pm. Nutcracker characters will meet and greet, author/illustrator Susan Jeffers will introduce her Nutcracker storybook, and Belk will present a runway fashion show - all to entertain grandmothers, mothers and daughters. Author/illustrator Susan Jeffers of The Nutcracker storybook will join Atlanta Ballet this December to celebrate Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker 50th Anniversary
To celebrate Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker 50th Anniversary, author/illustrator Susan Jeffers has generously offered her storybook The Nutcracker to be our 50th Anniversary souvenir. Each book will be signed and dated by Susan Jeffers. These copies of The Nutcracker will be available for purchase at all Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker performances and in Atlanta Ballet's Boutique.
Ms. Jeffers will be in Atlanta December 18-20. Her visit will include her presence at Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker Tea at the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead on Saturday, December 19, as well as the Friday, December 18 and Saturday, December 19 evening performances of Nutcracker at the Fox Theatre. Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker welcomes all Girl Scout of Greater Atlanta families on Friday, December 18 evening and Tuesday, December 22 matinee performances!
Atlanta Ballet invites all Girl Scout families to join us at one of two designated Girl Scout performances. Stay after either performance for an exclusive 20-minute after-show presentation to meet some of your favorite Nutcracker characters and learn how the curtain is brought up each year on this wonderful holiday classic. Atlanta Ballet is partnering with schools and organizations this year in celebration of Nutcracker's 50th Anniversary. With a vision to expand the generosity of Nutcracker, 20% of net sales from Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker tickets purchased through a partner link will be returned as a donation to that partner.
