Position Summary

The Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education (CDE) is seeking a full-time Centre for Dance Education Principal for our Buckhead studio. The Principal is responsible for assisting the Dean with day-to-day responsibilities will participate in all aspects of the education department, customer service, payment processing, and other duties as assigned. The Principal will also be required to teach in the appropriate divisions for a limited number of hours per week. They will ensure excellent and accurate public representation of Atlanta Ballet and its Centre for Dance Education programs. This is a full-time, salary position available for immediate start. Must be available evenings and weekends, 40+ hours per week.


Principal Duties

  • Pleasantly greet and assist all Centre families, patrons, and guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Responsible for the continued growth to population of the Buckhead studio.
  • Manage all personnel including faculty, accompanist, front desk staff and volunteers.
  • Teach Atlanta Ballet Centre student at different levels.
  • Assist the education department with open enrollment.
  • Ensure the safety of all Centre students.


Experience / Skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with teaching Classical Ballet.
  • Professional in every respect and maintaining high personal standards.
  • Forthright and integrity in all business and private activities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A calm and diplomatic approach to all situations.
  • Writing and organizational skills are a plus.


Compensation and Benefits

Atlanta Ballet provides a competitive and equitable compensation package with an annual salary of $50,000.
