Graphic Designer

Atlanta Ballet seeks a full-time graphic designer for immediate hire.

This position is full-time, salaried, and exempt from overtime. The graphic designer is responsible for supporting the overall marketing program and maintaining consistent brand image in all marketing and collateral materials across the organization.  

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

  •  Responsible for working across all departments to develop marketing and collateral materials as needed. 
  • Concept and produce designs for all Atlanta Ballet printed materials, digital elements, advertisements, and other collateral.
  • Direct photo shoots in conjunction with Atlanta Ballet principal photographers.
  • Manage production schedule and set up files for prepress.
  • Manage proofing process.
  • Maintain relationships with appropriate vendors.
  • Manage part-time graphic assistant.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong design abilities and proficiency in software applications including Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of technical aspects related to creative and print production.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize, track, and multitask.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through skills.
  • Understanding of available and appropriate promotional tools and tactics.
  • Knowledge of contemporary typesetting methods and photo manipulation.
  • Ability to function well in an environment with tight deadlines.

Fiscal responsibilities: 

  • Under the guidance of the Chief Marketing Officer develop and manage the budget for design projects.
