West Midtown Boutique Manager

This is a full-time, hourly position supporting the daily management of Atlanta Ballet's Michael C. Carlos Boutique (West Midtown) and theatre venues and reporting to the Boutique General Manager. This is a public contact position and requires exceptional personal interaction skills and professional presentation.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Michael C. Carlos Boutique (West Midtown):

  • Transacting sales at Michael C. Carlos Boutique during business hours and maintaining proper stock levels.
  • Handling customer exchanges, damages, emails, all voicemails, and outgoing messages.
  • Maintaining all store equipment,supplies, and store appearance for tidiness and stock levels.
  • Pricing all dancewear and giftware as needed.
  • Providing monthly inventory of all dancewear items from 3 locations and submitting to General Manager.
  • Reviewing weekly inventory from branches; packing and sending stock items as needed.
  • Completing register closeouts, reviewing branch closeouts, and submitting photocopies to accounting.
  • Dropping off and picking up items from embroiderer.
  • Entering orders for Spring Concert costumes from selected merchants; distributing costumes upon receipt.
  • Ensuring staffing at West Midtown and Buckhead Boutiques when employees are sick.
  • Assisting the Warehouse Manager with supervision of pricing volunteers.
  • Soliciting and training 2-3 volunteers for the West Midtown location to cover vacations and theatre time absences.
  • Assisting the General Manager with additional duties as needed.


  • Providing staff support at most theatre shows. Running credit cards and restocking merchandise.
  • Resolving any customer issues at the theatre boutique (returns, damages.
  • Assisting in training new volunteers on sales and cash handling policies.
  • Coordinating staffing needs with Parents Association chairs.
  • Assisting Warehouse Manager in the load in/load out of all shows.
  • Maintaining all theatre transaction case equipment, cash banks, and sales supplies.


  • Adhering to Atlanta Ballet’s cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that all transactions are properly executed and that cash and merchandise are safeguarded at all times.
  • Making Boutique deposits at bank, as requested.
  • Supporting and enforcing all store policies.

Business needs will dictate the scheduled work hours for this position. This job includes a schedule that will vary due to the performance, special event, and education schedules of Atlanta Ballet and the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education.
