Atlanta Ballet COVID Safety Policies

With the health and safety of our patrons and artists as our top priority we have made some adjustments, and your experience will be slightly different in and around Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre this season.

Based on recommendations from public health experts and the CDC, Atlanta Ballet has implemented the following policies, effective December 1, 2021.

Please be advised that it is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to communicate these policies to all guests or other ticket recipients.

Vaccination & Mask Policy

Proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID-19 test is required to attend Atlanta Ballet performances at Cobb Energy Centre.

Please refer to the specific requirements by age group as they differ:

  • Ages 4 and up must present proof of vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID test administered by an authorized healthcare professional taken within 72 hours of the performance, along with a photo ID (adults 18 and older).
  • Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult who meets the above requirements.
  • Masks are required at all times, regardless of vaccination status, except in designated areas where food and drinks may be enjoyed during intermission.
  • The Nutcracker is not recommended for children under 4.

Proof may be a physical copy or displayed on a smart phone.  This will be a visual check only; Atlanta Ballet will not retain copies of vaccine cards or test reports.

All children, regardless of age, must have a ticket and be seated with their accompanying adult.

Masks will be required at all times regardless of vaccination status, except while consuming concessions in the lobby or other designated areas.

Prior to Your Visit

If you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days and/or been in contact with someone who has tested positive, are sick or showing symptoms, please stay home. Contact Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre at 770-916-2852 to obtain a refund or exchange your tickets for a different performance.

Share these COVID safety policies with all members of your party and/or anyone to whom you have given your tickets.  As the ticket purchaser, it is your responsibility to make sure that all ticket holders are advised of these rules.

If you do not have proof of vaccination, you will need to obtain your COVID test 72 hours prior to your scheduled performance.  A free resource in Atlanta for vaccinations or COVID testing is Viral Solutions.

In the case of performance cancellation due to inclement weather, you may exchange into a different performance or receive a full refund.

What to Expect When you Visit

When you arrive at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, all members of your party will first be asked to show a valid ID and proof of vaccination or a negative test.

You will next move through a security check, which includes magnetometers.  If you have oversized bags or other prohibited items, security will ask that you return those to your car.  You can find the full list of prohibited items here.

Arrive early! - The entrance process will take longer this year, so we suggest planning to arrive early.  Cobb Energy Centre opens the doors to the lobby 90 minutes prior to curtain.  Arrive early and enjoy shopping at the Atlanta Ballet Boutique or a selection of holiday themed concessions that can be enjoyed in the lobby or in our outdoor Winter Wonderland. Concessions will not be allowed in the house.

Cashless Transactions – Cash will not be accepted for concessions and Atlanta Ballet Boutique purchases.

Our staff are there to help.  Atlanta Ballet staff will be available at all performances to assist in any way they can.  If you have questions or feel uncomfortable at any time, please ask an usher to direct you to an Atlanta Ballet staff member who will assist you.
