COVID-19 Update: FAQs and 19|20 Season Performance Cancellations and Centre for Dance Education Closings.

A message regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), including cancelled performances and Centre closings.

Atlanta Ballet Family –

We are deeply grateful for your vigilance and commitment to dance and dance education as we navigate the development of COVID-19. The health and safety of the Atlanta Ballet community is our top priority, and Atlanta Ballet leadership continues to monitor the situation by the hour.

Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education – Class & Spring Concert Update:

In accordance with the governor's orders, Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education has discontinued classes for the remainder of the school year and cancelled its annual Spring Concert. As difficult as it will be to not see all of our talented students demonstrate their achievements on stage, there Is no responsible way to continue classes and hold Spring Concert this year.  We look forward to seeing our students back in the studios as enrollment classes resume in August.

Atlanta Ballet Performance Update:

After making every effort to perform Giselle for you this season, we are sad to announce that it will not happen in May as planned.

Giselle and Firebird will be presented during Atlanta Ballet’s 2020|2021 Season, and more details on the season will be announced next week. If you currently have tickets to this spring’s performances of Giselle or Firebird, you should receive an email from our Patron Services office with information on donating the cost of your tickets or receiving a credit for next season.

Atlanta Ballet is working hard to maintain the health, safety, and livelihood of our staff and dancers, while also doing what we can to make a difference in the community. Moreover, as a nonprofit, our resources are allocated to the mission of putting ballet on stage and into the community, and we do not have reserves to see us through a public health crisis such as this. We hope you will consider donating your tickets back to help support Atlanta Ballet during this time.

Thank you for continuing to support Atlanta Ballet, and we look forward to seeing you at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre next season.

Atlanta Ballet has always relied on the loyal support of subscribers and donors, and we now need you more than ever. As a nonprofit arts organization, Atlanta Ballet resources are put to the test during local and global crises such as this. We are beyond grateful of our community’s continued support and willingness to help us and fellow arts organizations return to the studio and stage as soon as possible.

Thank you for your support of Atlanta Ballet – your understanding, patience and confidence as we navigate this unprecedented situation is greatly appreciated.

Stay well,

Atlanta Ballet
