Prepare for an exciting 2008-09 season - click here to view what's in store!Everyone is buzzing about big!big, Atlanta Ballet's collaboration with Antwan "Big Boi" Patton that premiered at the Fabulous Fox Theatre this past April, has the media buzzing! Everyone, from The New York Times and CNN to MTV and Paste Magazine, has something to say about this innovative performance. The New York Times: "The title refers to the show's star, but it could just as easily apply to its mission. Mr. Patton and the Atlanta Ballet say they are seeking to expand the horizons of their respective forms, without compromising them." Associated Press: "For the past few months, dancers in the Atlanta Ballet have been pimping out the pirouette, breaking down the battement and remixing the ronde de jambe." CNN: "On paper, Big Boi and (choreographer Lauri) Stallings couldn't be more different. But it is their two styles, from seemingly opposite ends of the artistic spectrum, that both say make the show so innovative.
