I was very disappointed with the performance of Carmina Burana - in particular the costumes were disruptive, distracting and ultimately disgusting.  This has always been one of my favorite pieces by the Ballet and I was appalled at the tasteless and inappropriate costuming.  It made it vitually impossible to see the incredible choreography and dancing.  There were parts of the event that were stunning and revelatory but too much of it was lost because of the abysimal costuming.  I am the first to admit that I am much more a fan of traditional ballet - but I do appreciate modern ballet and modern dance so that was not a deal-breaker for me.  However, this performance is making my daughter and me seriously reconsider renewing our Season tickets
