Thank you for sharing your experience, Karen! We are glad that you enjoyed “Minus 16,” and we hope you will join us again for our other programs this season.

Karen Steanson

I attended Sunday’s matinee so that I could see Minus 16 again, having seen it at a performance of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago at the Rialto about 10 years ago and again at Jacob’s Pillow.  The first time, I was invited—actually quietly commanded—to join the dance.  The dancers are so caring of their amateur partners that I lost my fear. “Living in the moment” took on new meaning!

What I love best about all performances is the choice of all ages to dance, especially an older woman to be the last audience-dancer on stage.  It’s a tribute to the ageless and enduring joy of music and movement.  To me, that last couple is dancing the last dance of their senior prom.

I left with a smile that lasted the rest of the afternoon.  Art lightens the heart!  Thank you for scheduling this dance.
