In recognition of her evolution as an artist, awards recieved include the Ruth Page, Chicagoan of the Year, as well as Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch." This season Stallings began several new artistic processes, including a partnership with Cirque Du Soleil, as well as choreographing a children's play for the Alliance Theatre. And, Julie Taymor's "Across the Universe," in which Stallings was one of the original choreographic researchers, opened to wide acclaim. Following the world premiere of big, Stallings concludes her season in May at NYC's Joyce Theatre for the U.S. premiere of slokas, a new creation for ABT 2. Stallings is honored to spend any given time in artistic, human exploration with her friend and mentor, John McFall, and his visceral Atlanta Ballet company.
