Check out the Results of Our Hamlet Partnership with GA Shakespeare Last Month

Last month, Atlanta Ballet and Georgia Shakespeare embarked on an exciting collaboration around GA Shakespeare's production of Hamlet in October 2013 and Atlanta Ballet's production of Hamlet in April 2014. For the first event, Stephen Mills, creator of the version to be performed by Atlanta Ballet this season and current Artistic Director of Ballet Austin, joined us all the way from Texas to share the stage with GA Shakespeare Director Richard Garner. They discussed the staging process and how they went about creating contemporary versions of such a well-known classic. For the second post-show conversation, we brought together Atlanta Ballet Company dancer John Welker and GA Shakespeare actor Joe Knezevich who discussed their experiences taking on the role of the young Danish prince. Both talkbacks were rich discussions that included questions from the audience. You can click on the links below to access video recordings of these exclusive events.

Be on the look out for similar talkbacks again in in April 2014 during Atlanta Ballet's production of Hamlet.
