BET filming the TV movie “The Start Up” in Atlanta Ballet studios

Last week, BET was in Atlanta Ballet studios filming its upcoming TV movie The Start Up. We had several young celebrity sightings, including Diggy Simmons (young rapper and son of Run DMC's Rev Run), Bria Murphy (actress and Eddie Murphy's daughter) and Allen Maldonado (actor, The Young and the Restless and The Ugly Truth)!

The Start Up is a fresh, edgy look at the life of a 19 year-old blogger named Blake, played by Diggy Simmons. The film, which has a younger Entourage vibe, follows Blake and his close group of loyal friends who hold him down on his rise to the top. Executive producing the movie with Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil are Kenya Barris (The Game, America's Next Top Model), Chris Lighty (posthumously), Laurie Dobbins, and James Dubose. Simmons and Kevin Liles are co-executive producing. Diggy Simmons is a son of Joseph "Rev. Run" Simmons. Along with his parents and five siblings, he starred on the MTV reality television show Run's House. (courtesy of HyltonCasting.com)
