In her 25 years with New York City Ballet, Wendy Whelan has built an impressive repertory that spans classical and contemporary. With Restless Creature, Whelan has called on four distinct young choreographic voices – Kyle Abraham, Josh Beamish, Brian Books, and Alejandro Cerrudo – to produce and perform a signature work in duet with her. Restless Creature explores each choreographer’s particular movement style and esthetic while capturing Whelan’s “uncompromising, generous, bold, enthusiastic, adult, at the same time decisive and investigative” (The New York Times) talent. Tickets start at $42.
