An inspiring evening of two groundbreaking works by the next generation of choreographers will push the boundaries of conventional ballet to deliver a refreshing, immersive experience in Atlanta Ballet’s season finale.
Acclaimed Choreographer-in-Residence Claudia Schreier’s groundbreaking ballet to “The Jungle (Symphony No. 4)” by award-winning jazz musician Wynton Marsalis will take you on a journey through musicality and inventive movement that reflects the complexities and fast pace of modern city life. From the music to choreography to costumes, city influences will take center stage in this world premiere.
Schreier, celebrated for her most recent Atlanta Ballet works Fauna, Pleiades Dances and Carnivale, will be joined by Brazilian artist Juliano Nuñes, one of the world’s most sought-after young choreographers, presenting his renowned contemporary and distinctive movement vocabulary in a fresh and exciting new commission for Atlanta Ballet.
