As artistic director, Gennadi presents a varied repertory that reintroduces some of the finest classical and neoclassical works in existence, while also bringing in new works from the most sensational and sought-after choreographers in the world. He uses his vast experience to nurture the Company, helping the dancers achieve the highest level of artistry, and elevate the national and international profile of Atlanta Ballet. In addition to his work with the professional Company, Gennadi also oversees the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education led by Dean Sharon Story. He focuses on refining the technique of our student dancers and infusing his world-class training from the Bolshoi and diverse performance background into the curriculum of our Pre-professional Division, which is designed for students who are interested in pursuing dance careers.
