Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta $100,000 Award Supports TessATL Consortium

Atlanta Ballet is deeply grateful for the Community Foundation of Atlanta’s Strategic Restructuring Fund’s generous award of $100,000 to the TessATL consortium. The Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta (CFGA) has been an incredible partner to Atlanta Ballet and the TessATL consortium members and much of our success would not be possible without your support.

CFGA’s grant provided the needed resources to create Atlanta’s newest Tessitura consortium of performing arts organizations, TessATL. Tessitura is an integrated database designed specifically for arts organizations that combines all aspects of customer interaction, including the ability to conduct highly targeted and cost-efficient marketing and fundraising appeals, handle all ticketing and membership transactions, and provide detailed and flexible performance reports. Through Tessitura’s seamless resource and database, TessATL partners grow and retain revenue driving relationships over the long term.

Since 2009, TessATL partner organizations have collaborated and shared a collective desire to maintain each organization’s database in the Tessitura network. Led by Atlanta Ballet, TessATL consists of Atlanta Shakespeare Company, The Atlanta Opera, Horizon Theatre, Aurora Theatre, and the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts at Emory University.

Atlanta Ballet’s strategic plan is focused on addressing the unique challenges of today’s economy, while redefining the Atlanta Ballet of the next generation; Tessitura is a core component of achieving those goals. Atlanta Ballet is one of the region’s largest arts organizations, contributing an estimated $8 million in annual economic impact beyond its $10 million operating budget, to Atlanta’s vibrant arts and culture scene, as well as the broader community. We maintain this role through an investment in data-driven marketing and fundraising strategies provided in part by Tessitura.

Tessitura has enabled Atlanta Ballet to substantially increase organizational efficiencies and long term sustainability, while also increasing our overall impact and functionality. The creation of TessATL will have a strategic and transformative impact on all its partners. We thank CFGA for supporting this opportunity to assist local arts organizations in creating a self-sustaining and innovative business model that encourages financial growth and expands community impact.
