Exposed Dance Festival is Happening Now Through November 19!
A festival of ground-breaking dance and theatre from Israel
CORE, 7 Stages, Emory University Dance Program/Candler Concert Series, Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University, and Kennesaw State University join forces for a month long festival of richly-layered, boundary blurring, contemporary dance and physical theatre from Israel staged throughout Metro Atlanta.
Three U.S. premieres, two regional premieres, one Atlanta premiere, multiple workshops and artist conversations, two original collaborations between Israeli and Atlanta artists, and three choreographic commissions will reveal the richness, creativity, imagination, strength, and innovation of contemporary dance and physical theatre in Israel.
Vertigo Dance Company – Vertigo 20
October 22 @ 8:00 pm
Georgia State’s Rialto Center for the Arts
Established a quarter-century ago, Israel’s Vertigo Dance Company uses contemporary dance to explore profound connections within society, art, and the environment, and, over the years, has established itself as a unique presence in the world of dance. With Vertigo 20, choreographer Noa Wertheim weaves together twenty years of Vertigo Dance Company’s creations, which challenge the limits of both the human body and human awareness.
